|
|
Hi all
about two months ago i replaced the rear pads, nothing fancy just basic ones ,all seamed well as it was my first time changing them on this bike.but as the husquvarna sm610 i owned before had the same caliper so i expected it go well.but i just discoverd the pad thickness is already down to 2 mm.
i didn't remove the rear wheel or loosen the bleed nipple as the wsm said to do but managed to push in the piston just enough to slip in the new pads .
any ideas why they are wearing so quick? |

I'm no expert but they are probably rubbing against the disc. My advise would be to do it again, but this time follow the instructions in the manual. Like I said, I'm no expert but it probably tells you to do stuff cos you've got to do it |

sounds like your caliper needs a bit of a clean could be a sticking piston or the slides are sticking. In need of a strip down and clean up. _________________ Pushing Sky's red button does not make you active.

I've had the bike on a paddock stand and the rear pads aren't binding. But I'll strip it and give it a good clean anyway.
PS i checked the disc after 4mils of riding while NOT using the rear brake and the disc was cold(good).but doing same distance using normal brake application the disc was fxxkin hot not glowing just finger burning.
So either I've got a lead right foot or the pads stick sometimes or the pads are working too well and are made of paper mashay.taa anyway |
